AT&T National

Yesterday we went to watch the AT&T National Golf Tournament at Congressional Country Club in Bethesda, MD. This is a tournament that is hosted by Tiger Woods and honors our military by providing free tickets to active military personnel.

Congressional Country Club is a beautiful golf course which has long been rated as one of the top 100 courses in the US.

It has a massive and gorgeous club house.

To say we followed Tiger Woods is a stretch. To watch him play really required a bit of hopscotch around the course to cope with his gallery. We would plant ourselves by one hole, watch him as he played through, and then hop a few holes ahead and wait again.

We also watched some other notables, including Jim Furyk, Davis Love III, Anthony Kim (who were in the same group), Freddie Couples, Vijay Singh, Boo Weekley, and others. It was a beautiful day, and partly cloudy weather helped keep the temps from getting too hot.

We hadn't been to a golf tournament since the 1998 PGA Championship at Sahalee Country Club in Redmond, Wa., so it was nice to see the pros play.

Oh MAN! You got to see TIGER!!! And the other pros...what a treat!! We recently bought tickets to the US Open at Pebble Beach next Spring, and are really looking forward to seeing Tiger and the others in real life, too. Sounds like you guys had a fun time.
