Shenandoah National Park

Having taken a weekend off to go to Tahoe, we are back in Virginia and trying to explore our new surroundings each weekend. On Saturday, 9/18, we travelled down beautiful Skyline Drive in Shenandoah National Park. Skyline Drive rides the crest of the Blue Ridge Mountains for 105 miles through Shenandoah National Park, and joins the Blue Ridge Parkway which connects Shenandoah to Great Smoky Mountains National Park, NC. We were able to take this drive just as the trees were coming into color. It was a beautiful day. Look for your self.

Important Announcement from McCain Palin Campaign!

McCain Palin Campaign Announces New Secret Weapon !In a stunning announcement today, John McCain and Sarah Palin announced that Barb Zuspan will be joining the campaign trail from now until the election. The campaign is convinced that Barb will woo skeptical undecided voters with a voice of realism that can not be found in high level politicians.

Lake Tahoe with the Jones'

South Lake Tahoe, CA.
The weekend of Oct. 9-12th we had the pleasure of meeting our wonderful friends, Bob and Lisa Jones in Lake Tahoe! This trip was planned WAY before we even knew about the move and we are SO GLAD we decided to go ahead with it! It is a beautiful spot, and in spite of the SNOW we had a great time with delicious food, and great fellowship!

Mount Vernon and George Washington

On Sat. we took a drive to see Mount Vernon where George & Martha Washington lived. It was a beautiful drive, only 45 min. away from our home. The grounds were gorgeous as was the view from the mansion of the Potomac River. The mansion is decorated and furnished with period pieces and looked very authentic. It was interesting to learn what a inovative and brilliant farmer George Washington was. Very much ahead of his time! Enjoy the photos!
